Our story

TGIFungi is the passion project of five childhood friends who decided to combine our love of nature, science and food into a mycological passion project. The more we have learned just how incredible mushrooms truly are, the faster we have become infatuated. It was only a matter of time before we started cultivating mushrooms. We ran into some roadblocks trying to cultivate commercially, so we now seasonally forage and provide education to the public. Through our efforts we hope to educate and inspire people to broaden their fungal horizons. We want everyone to indulge in the wonderful benefits of mushrooms; from the important environmental roles they serve for our planet, to just how down right delicious they are. Fungi are truly amazing!

Our Mission

TGIFungi aims to spread knowledge about the mycological world. Formerly a wholesaler of fresh grown mushrooms, we now sell seasonally foraged mushrooms and are planning to rebrand as an educational source.
